The Central Valley Blues Society

The Loose Gravel Blues Band has hung it up after
a 30 year run (1980 - 2010).  We'd like to thank our
families, friends and fans for hanging with us all these years.

Bob "Roosterfish" Dennison
May 1, 1946 - September 10, 2016

Bob Roosterfish Dennison At 9:10 this morning, my incredible dad, Robert Reneau Dennison, took his last breaths with his family by his side. He is finally at peace, free from the ravages of Parkinson's and dementia. He lived his life to the fullest for as long as he was able. We have been incredibly blessed to have been raised by an artist, musician, photographer, gardener, traveler, foodie, teacher, coach, hippy, mentor, friend, husband and father. He was larger than life and will be missed but we cherish the gifts he has given us and will carry them forward.

John "HoundDog" Keith
January 15, 1950 - July 30, 2009

HoundDog Our brother John passed away July 30, 2009, of heart failure after a courageous and determined yearlong battle with cancer.  In the last weeks of his life, John had been feeling well enough to schedule himself for a solo show as well as a gig with Loose Gravel, both for the month of August 2009.  John's sudden and unexpected passing shocked and saddened us beyond words.

More at the  Central Valley Blues Society

If you have had the pleasure of hearing The Loose Gravel Blues Band then you can understand why the name was chosen.  When watching or hearing the group, you get the feeling that there's a party going on and you can't help but party along with them.  The band is serious about the blues and just as serious about simply enjoying themselves.
